Three friends were discussing life
Can people live together and know nothing?
Can people work together and make nothing?
Can they fly around in space and forget to exist?
World without end

The three friends looked at each other
And they burst out laughing – can’t explain it!
Yeah they cracked up laughing – can’t contain it!
They were better friends than ever before

One friend died on a summer day
The second friend wrote a song in her honor
The third friend played the lute in her honor
